Proto Tiki Cocktails, Caribbean VibeOur nationally acclaimed bar program places emphasis on rum, with a style self described as proto-tiki, meaning "cocktails are drawn not from the 20th-century movement that brought us the mai tai and the scorpion, but from its spiritual predecessor out of the Caribbean, an area with complicated and important ties to New Orleans."

Rum Trade Inspired Cuisine
Historic Venue in the Heart of the French Quarter
Our space has a maximum capacity of 130 guests and our team is well versed on executing numerous types of events, from intimate dinner parties to full wedding receptions.
Commissioned in 1830 by the Ursuline Nuns, our building is located on lively Lower Decatur St. and is still overlooked by the Ursuline Convent today. It has passed many hands, held various incarnations, and we are extremely honored to look over the space today. Our design features the building's natural charm, with a focus on minimalism, pairing original raw plaster and brick with aged mirrors, classic chandeliers, and a courtyard full of New Orleans' tropical flora. |
We feel pretty confident in proclaiming that this is the only bar in town where you can order something as inadvisable as a pineapple Sazerac or banana Manhattan and be delighted in the deliciously mature, subtle, and stimulating result.
